Windows XP Deployment Consulting Services:
Deploying Windows XP Professional requires careful planning and preparation. Our Deployment Consulting Package includes several phases: We start by defining the project scope and objectives; we continue analyzing and assessing your existing network and desktop environments. Once we gather your business requirements we proceed recommending the products to design the desktop configuration, as well as the services and deployments methods that best suite your computer environment; then we continue conducting the pilot deployment test prior to rolling out the Full-Scale deployment; and finally we provide the end-user training.
Deployment Process Phases:
-
Defining
Project Scope and Objectives
– The first step in
the deployment process is to define your project goals and
objectives, ensuring they are consistent with the long-term goals of
your organization and the needs of your employees.
-
Evaluating Current Network and Desktop Environments
-
Before designing a desktop environment built around Windows XP,
we review your current network operating systems, infrastructure,
and desktop environment. The following information must be provided
by the client to International Works: Current Network Infrastructure
and Services, Domain Architecture, Business Organizations, Accurate
Hardware & Software Inventory, Application Requirements, Software
standards, and security policy.
-
Designing the Desktop Configuration for Windows
XP Professional
– During this phase the preferred Windows XP Pro
desktop configuration is designed, built and an integration testing
is performed in a lab environment (Lab must be provided by the
client). In addition, Business applications are tested for compatibility
with the new OS platform. The preferred deployments methods
and strategies are evaluated and selected. Then, the implementation
process and the configuration for the pilot phase are approved.
Optional, Intl Works can package your business applications.
-
Conducting a Windows XP Professional Pilot Deployment
– The pilot process provides a small-scale test of the eventual
full-scale rollout, including any problems encountered, or additional
modifications to finalize the rollout plan. Intl Works compile
the pilot results and use the data to estimate deployment times.
-
Rolling Out the Full-Scale Deployment
– During this phase the full-scale deployment is performed.
If required, Intl Works configures the distribution servers based
on the selected implementation method. If needed, Intl Works
upgrades the hardware, back up critical data and configuration
files on the client computers prior to the final deployment.
-
Windows XP Professional Training
– Let us train your support staff and users on Windows XP Professional.
Intl Works offers on-site training. By having training in-house
you can reduce travel expenses and save money. We can create
a customized training class that just contain the material you
want to cover and best meets your business needs. If your
company doesn’t have a training facility Intl Works offers group
discounts for all the courses offer at our training center, including
our new Windows XP Professional class.
